Getting Started

Since the end of the summer LEAP course we have definitely struggled to continue our project, what with personal commitments and all being at different schools. However, we are glad to say we can finally get started on finishing our website and making it live, as we are keen to make an impact on the wider and especially international community, and we have now had our first semi-group meeting with the Jersey members of our group to plan our next steps for our project. We’ve done some more work on the website and are now waiting on an email back from our mentors to arrange a time where we can all meet and discuss business ideas, as well as final touches to our website before it goes live.

We hope to post a link to our site in the next two weeks so everyone can check it out and we can start getting views, as well as spreading LEAP and other educational courses to a wider audience.

LEAP 2018 is coming to an end… but the impact is just beginning.

Leap was the beginning of lifelong friendships and projects. It not only connected students from across the globe, it began the revolution of change. In whichever aspect the group decided to focus on. In our group it started the process of restructuring the dynamic of connectivity and opportunity in education. It inspired each and every person in our group to open our eyes to the issues in not only society but in our lives and once we became aware, through this programme we were empowered to not only make a difference but to be the difference. It created the hunger inside of us to inspire and empower others the way we have been. That is what drove our project. And without LEAP and the platform we have been given, none of that would have been possible. Yes it was difficult, yes there were people who hated our idea and there were times when the coffee  just wasn’t enough to keep us awake. But we pulled through, we drank more coffee and focused as much as we could, we used the criticism to better our ideas and supported each other. We became a family, and thanks to LEAP we now have sisters in 10 countries from around the world who all strive to make a difference in the lives of everyone around them. Yes it is the end of the LEAP conference but the family, projects and the difference are ongoing and the impact of that is just beginning to unfold.

Dragon’s presentation Reflection

Yesterday we presented to the Dragons and we weren’t very confident in our presentation, however we got the funding that we needed and we learnt that you won’t always get the reactions that you want or think you deserve. It was very intimidating and nerve-wracking however we found comfort in the fact that we did our best and that’s all we could have done.

Our Project

Infinitytimesthree is an innovative project responding to the lack of information and resources in third-world countries. Furthermore, this allows students from all over the world to access LEAP and other educational courses. The reason we decided to launch this was because we realise how fortunate that all of us are to experience such an empowering and beneficial project. In addition, this benefits not only students’ education, but enhances awareness of  the world, presentation skills, new connections and last but not least – an opportunity to change the world!
